Meet the Maker Rafael El Baz to get an insight into the design process and development of his current project, ‘Take a seat’. Raf will introduce you to a series of stools being made, each one produced using materials that link to specific businesses or locations.
Rafael El Baz of GoodWaste transforms so-called ‘waste’ materials into interiors and objects through design. Goodwaste intercepts and diverts industrial waste from landfill, integrating strict circular economy principles. We believe in social sustainability as much as environmental so we balance our commercial output with social impact initiatives that bring local communities into the design and making process. Located in Park Royal, this project is all about people places and production. These narrative stools are objects that connect the local and wider community to this unique area in London, acting as a portal to bring the stories of Park Royal to life. This event is powered by Echo - a local skill sharing community celebrating and sharing the talents of Park Royal's creative makers.
