A unique collection of photos, designed to celebrate the LGBT+ firefighting community, will go on display at Euston Fire Station as part of an action packed open day on September 18. There will be opportunities to view the historic fire station, fire engines and meet the firefighting staff.
Staff from across the Brigade were captured in a series of one-off shots staged by fashion designer Patrick McDowell and photographer Lou Jasmine, which are being released at the start of London Fashion Week and the London Design Festival. The collection, made from upcycled materials, is inspired by iconic firefighting items including personal protective equipment, fire hose and fire helmets. The photos will go on display alongside some of the garments from the collection, when Euston fire station opens its doors for the day between 12 and 6pm.
